The First In A Series Of Beauty Tips:
First of all Attitude is the first step in being beautiful. There is a saying that goes like this......Beauty is only skin deep but ugliness is to the bones. We can portray a beautiful attitude and people will think we are attractive. Having a healthy self-esteem will lead to a beautiful attitude about ourself and others.
Now to the Tips......... This week will be Facial Beauty Tips. Some of these I have tried and they are inexpensive to purchase and is usually found at the grocery store.
Tips For The Face::
1. For Normal to Dry Skin.. Don't bother with soap because it will dry out your skin more, instead just rinse your face with very cold water and pat dry. Cold water will bring the blood to the surface of the skin and help the cells to regenerate. Hot water drys your skin and thus defeating the purpose. If you want to use a toner, WithHazel is great for this because it is a natural astringent. If you want to use a moisturizer I recommend a natural moisturizer (made of natural ingredients that does not contain alcohol) and also contains a sunscreen of at least SPF15. (Zia Products have this balance)
2. For Oily Skin---One of the best facial cleanser for this type of skin is Powdered Milk mixed with water. It is a lactic acid wash that will cleanse and exfoliate the skin. Lemons are great to use for a toner after cleansing your face. Lemons also help restore the PH balance of the skin. For a moisturizer use an oil-free type. It may not be necessary to use a moisturizer for this type of face but it is a great help to always moisturize under the eyes with an eye gel not a cream. Creams are to oily.
General tips.........
Age Spots can be lightened with lemon juice left on for about 10-15 minutes (fresh lemons are the best) it also gives the face a healthy shiny glow. Just cut off a piece of lemon and rub onto the face.
Brown spots and Discoloration can be lightened by using 2 tablespoons Lemon juice mixed with one packet of raw sugar and applied to the face and then scrub lightly with an old toothbrush. Leave on for about 15 minutes rinse with cool to warm water.
For Dry Chapped Skin you can use a face mask of fresh purreed Avocado and mix in a small amount of olive oil. Leave on for at least 5 minutes. More if you prefer.
Taking Flaxseed oil the fresh pure kind, is great for the skin. I like to use Barleans Flaxseed Oil with Lignans, this will help tremendously with maintaining healthy skin and it has a long list of other health benefits too.

I bought moisterizer at the Body Shop. It has helped my poor, damaged nose. The tissue I had to buy (they only sell one kind on Sundays, go figure) is like sandpaper. It has vitamin E in it, works really well, supposed to be all-natural.
